Ambati Rayudu makes U-turn on retirement, says 'enough cricket left'

Hyderabad, Aug 30 (IBNS): Making a U-turn from his previous decision to quit international cricket, Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu made himself available for selection saying enough cricket is left in him, media reports said.

Rayudu wrote to the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) saying his decision to quit was an "emotional" one.

The 33-year old right-handed batsman also thanked Chennai Super Kings, VVS Laxman and Noel David for making him realise that cricket is still left in him.

Rayudu in early July announced his retirement from all forms of cricket after he was not considered to play for India in the World Cup despite being a standby player following injuries of several players in the national squad.

In 55 ODIs for India, Rayudu scored 1,694 runs with an average of 47.06. He scored 42 runs in six T20I matches. The middle-order batsman never represented India in Test cricket.

After he was not considered as a replacement in the Indian squad, the Iceland Cricket had offered Rayudu to play for their country.
