Kolkata, Apr 16 (IBNS): SVF, Eastern India’s largest entertainment company, ushered the Bengali New Year this year in style by hosting “SVF Parbon – 1425” at Raasmanch, Swabhumi. ‘Naboborsho’ or Bengali New Year is a very integral part of their culture. “SVF Parbon – 1425” has been an endeavour by the production house to pay tribute to Bengal, its culture, diversity and ethnicity.

The event was graced by the presence of dignitaries like State Ministers, Consulate Generals, members of State Administration, renowned Celebrities, head of Brands and other who’s who of the city who were all decked up in traditional wear.

The guests enjoyed the evening by drowning into the melodious folk numbers crooned by the renowned band “Miliputs” and digging into the mouth-watering ethnic Bengali cuisine that was specially laid out in "kaashar bashon" (brass utensils) to give them an authentic taste of Bengal.

Apart from this what kept the guests enamoured was the traditional Bengali atmosphere of the event with the décor of ‘haath-pakha’, live 'tele bhaja' counter, etc. which gave a connect of Bengal's culture.

Mahendra Soni, Co-Founder & Director of SVF said, "SVF has always believed in spreading the Bengali gene across the world be it through cinema or through other forms of entertainment. SVF Parbon is our tribute to the culture of Bengal and an occasion to unite all our friends under one roof to celebrate the 'Poila Baishakh'”.
