Mumbai, May 10 (IBNS): With Baahubali 2 engaging itself in a record breaking and setting spree, Bollywood movie reviewer and business analyst Taran Adarsh said that Indian movies are broadening their horizons.

If Baahubali 2 became the first Indian movie to score in excess of Rs 1000 crores, Dangal, which released in China last week, has already collected over Rs 100 crores in just five days of its run in the Communist nation.

"Most people ignore the contribution from international markets, but this is an EYEOPENER: Indian films are broadening their horizons,' Adarsh's tweet read.

"Two films in particular are setting new benchmarks Overseas... #Baahubali2 is on a RECORD-SMASHING spree, enjoying a GLORIOUS RUN," he added.

"After having a STUPENDOUS run internationally, #Dangal has now taken CHINA by storm, amassing a HUMONGOUS ₹ 123.67 cr in 5 days there," an ensuing tweet read.

The renowned critic also urged filmmakers to look for more 'desi' substance in order to woo audience.

"Those who think we need to make metro-centric movies to woo intl audience, think again! #Dangal and #Baahubali2 are desi entertainers!" he said.
