Deepika's character's name as the title is lucky

Mumbai, June 20 (IBNS) Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone's movies have always performed strongly at the box officer whenever she had essayed the title role in the films.

She was recently seen essaying the role of Piku and winning hearts across the country with her performance in the film.

Infact Deepika has played the title role in not one but in 4 of her films.

Deepika played the title role in her superhit debut film Om Shanti Om, where her character was called Shanti.

She also played the title role Leela in her film Ram-Leela. While the film got a thunderous response, Deepika received numerous accolades for her fiery portrayal of Leela.

We recently saw Deepika playing the title role in Piku. Deepika’s character’s name was the name of the film.

Deepika received accolades from all quarters for Piku. It is being called as one of her finest performances and Piku has been loved all over. 

She will also be seen playing the title role once again in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani.

So far Deepika’s character’s name as the title has proved really lucky. All the films where she plays the title character have done extremely well.
