Comedian Tanmay Bhat faces backlash after posting video mocking two Indian icons

Mumbai, May 30 (IBNS) Th Bharatiya Janata Party and the Shiv Sena, on Monday, demanded that action must be taken up against stand-up comedian Tanmay Bhat for his video allegedly mocking Sachin and Lata Mangeshkar, according to media reports.
Comedy group AIB's Tanmay Bhat is said to have posted a video on Facebook titled Sachin vs Lata Civil War, on May 23, where he allegedly mocked both cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar and singing legend, Lata Mangeshkar.
 
Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navanirman Sena has reportedly filed a police complaint against Tanmay Bhat.
 
Tweeted actor Riteish Deshmukh, "Am absolutely shocked. Disrespect is not cool and neither is it funny."
 
Veteran actor Anupam Kher tweeted, "I am 9 times winner of #BestComicActor. Have a great sense of humor. But This's NOT humor. #Disgusting&Disrespectful."
