Will respond after Jyotiraditya Scindia makes anything public: Digvijaya Singh on MP crisis

| @indiablooms | Mar 10, 2020, at 12:00 pm

Bhopal/New Delhi/IBNS: At a time Jyotiraditya Scindia met Prime Minister Narendra Modi amid the political crisis in Madhya Pradesh, Congress veteran and MP Digvijaya Singh preferred to remain mum on the entire development.

When asked about the crisis, Singh said, "I will respond if Jyotiraditya Scindia makes anything public. As of now, nothing has been made public."

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is also present in the meeting between Congress leader Scindia and Modi.

The meeting has fueled speculations over Scindia's joining of the BJP.

The Congress-led Madhya Pradesh government fell into a crisis after more than 17 MLAs flew out to Bengaluru, a city in the BJP-ruled Karnataka.

If the 17 or more MLAs resign, the Congress government will immediately fall in Madhya Pradesh.

The current strength of 230-member Madhya Pradesh assembly is 228.

Out of 228, the Congress and its allies have 121 seats while BJP has 107 seats.

Meanwhile, Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi has called a meeting of her party leaders.
