Vigilance Awareness week initiated by BSF Guwahati Frontier

Guwahati/IBNS: The Border Security Force (BSF) Guwahati Frontier has initiated a week-long  Vigilance Awareness Week at Patgaon, Guwahati and all its Units/Sectors under command from October 27 to November 2, on the direction of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) New Delhi.

This year the theme of Vigilance Awareness Week-2020 is “Vigilant India, Prosperous India”

The observance of the week commenced by Vigilance pledge by Virender Singh, DIG (PSO) Frontier HQ Guwahati under overall supervision of Rajesh Kumar, Inspector General, BSF, Frontier HQ Guwahati.

While administering the pledge Rajesh Kumar, Inspector General, BSF, Frontier HQ Guwahati said that the objective of this week is to reaffirm our commitment to fight against unethical practices, blatant violation of systems and procedures, and corruption prevailing at our workplaces.

He emphasized the need for creating awareness on governance in the force. He also briefed the personnel about the week-long programme, in which lecture on “Vigilant India, Prosperous India”, Quiz, debate, displaying banners, slogans and posters on anti-corruption theme at prime locations will also be organized during the week at Frontier HQ as well as Units/Sectors under Command Guwahati Frontier.

All the staff in the BSF headquarter took a pledge to continuously  strive to bring about integrity and transparency in all spheres of our activity, work for eradication for corruption, bring pride to the organization through collective efforts and provide value-based service to our countrymen, do our duty consciously and act without fear and favour.

BSF observes vigilance awareness week every year in conformity with the instructions of the Central Vigilance Commission, New Delhi.
