Uttar Pradesh: Three killed, 30 injured in road mishap

Kanpur Dehat/UNI: Three people were killed while over 30 others were injured when a speeding vehicle rammed into a stationary truck in the Akarpur area of this Uttar Pradesh district on Wednesday.

Police sources said that some migrant labourers were on their way to Balrampur in a DCM from Ahmedabad in Gujarat. Meanwhile, the DCM rammed into a stationary truck from behind near the Lalpur chowki at Kanpur-Jhansi national highway.

Three labourers were killed on the spot in the accident while more than 30 others were injured. The injured have been admitted to the district hospital and six among them have been referred to Kanpur owing to their critical condition.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has condoled the death of the labourers in the accident. The CM also directed that adequate and proper treatment be provided to the injured.
