| @indiablooms | Oct 18, 2020, at 06:03 pm

Ballia/IBNS: A man accused of shooting another in presence of police in Uttar Pradesh's Ballia, has been arrested.

The accused Dhirendra Singh filed a "surrender application" at a local court.

This allows an accused to surrender directly before the court, which then decides whether to send him to the police or judicial custody.

The victim, identified as 46-year-old Jaiprakash, was allegedly shot dead by Dhirendra Singh, a BJP worker, in presence of locals officials.

The accused had shot him thrice, witnesses said.
