Trinamool Congress MP Sisir Adhikari loses another post after Suvendu turned BJP

| @indiablooms | Jan 13, 2021, at 08:03 pm

Kolkata/IBNS: Veteran Trinamool Congress Lok Sabha MP Sisir Adhikari was removed as the party president in district Purba Medinipur, after a tectonic political shift occurred in the Adhikari family late last year.

Somen Mahapatra, a detractor of the Adhikari family, has been appointed as the district president by the Trinamool.

Sisir Adhikari just a day ago was removed as the Digha-Sankarpur Development Authority chairman.

The senior party leader lost the two posts within a month after his son Suvendu Adhikari, a former Trinamool MLA, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

However, Suvendu's father is still in Trinamool.
