TMC-BJP vs We All: Left-Congress-ISF leaders call for a change in poll-bound Bengal from mega Brigade rally

Leaders of all the parties assembled at the Brigade Parade Grounds claimed the rally was a big success with an attendance of more than a million people.

Calling it a historic mass meeting, Left Front Chairman Biman Bose said that there will be BJP and TMC on one side and others will be on the opposite side in the battle for Bengal. 

"I would ask those people, who once said that a telescope was needed to find the Left, to come here and see - people have created history today at Brigade Parade Ground," Biman Bose said.

During his speech, CPI-M General Secretary Sitaram Yechury claimed that Mamata Banerjee's TMC could make an alliance with the BJP if no party reached the magic figure.

Attacking the TMC and BJP, West Bengal Congress chief Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said, "The DNAs of Mamata Banerjee and Narendra Modi are almost the same - both are autocratic leaders and both want to form an opposition-free government."

"This mega Brigade rally has shown that the main fight is not between the BJP and the TMC, none of them will come to power, the secular front will be elected this time," Chowdhury said.

Surprisingly, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury concluded his Brigade rally speech with the Left's "Inquilab Zindabad" slogan besides the "Jai Hind" chant.

Meanwhile, Furfura Shariff cleric and Indian Secular Front (ISF)'s founder Abbas Siddiqui gave a call to uproot the Mamata-government and her TMC party from the state.

"We will bring Mamata's TMC to zero in this election," the minority leader shouted from the rally.

Left and the Congress have almost reached a seat-sharing formula for the upcoming assembly election while both partys' talks to share seats with Abbas Siddiqui's ISF are still underway.
