Hisar, Oct 30 (UNI) TikTok star Sonali Phogat, who contested the assembly election from Adampur on the BJP ticket, was allegedly assaulted by her sister and her brother-in-law in her native Bhothan Kalan village in Fatehabad district.

In a complaint lodged with the Fatehabad Sadar police station, Phogat said she visited her father's house in Bhothan Kalan village and was meeting with the villagers, including her sister Rukesh and brother-in-law Aman Punia, on Tuesday night.

She alleged that her sister and her husband started arguing with her and also assaulted her. Both also issued life threat to her, she further alleged.

Fatehabad Sadar police station SHO Prahlad Singh said police have registered a case under various sections of the IPC against Rukesh and her husband Aman on the basis of complaint lodged by Sonali Phogat and started investigations.
