Three militants nabbed with weapons in Kathua

Jammu, Sept 12 (UNI): Three militants were arrested from a truck and weapons seized from their possession in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.

"Three militants have been arrested from a truck heading towards Jammu from Punjab this morning at Lakhanpur," Sridhar Patil, SSP Kathua here told UNI.

He said that weapons have also been recovered from them while the truck was seized and added that investigations are in progress.

Police sources confirmed that the weapons recovered were Ak 47 rifles.

"Whether they have crossed over from the border or were already staying on this side is yet to be ascertained," they said, adding that details are awaited.
