Terrorists kill five non-Kashmiri labourers in J&K's Kulgam

Srinagar/IBNS: Terrorists killed five non-Kashmiri labourers and injured another in an attack on Kashmir's Kulgam on Tuesday.

According to Jammu and Kashmir Police, all of them were non-Kashmiris and belonged to West Bengal.

In a tweet, the Kashmir Zone Police said: "In #Kulgam terrorists have killed five civilians. Police is on the spot. Information is preliminary in nature .@JmuKmrPolice"

Police said all the victims belonged to Murshidabad district of West Bengal.

Three of the five labourers were identified as Sheikh Kamrudin, Sheikh Mohammed Rafiq and Sheikh Murnsulin.

The injured man, identified as Zahoor Din, was taken to the Anantnag district hospital for treatment.

Earlier in the afternoon, the terrorists opened fire at the security forces guarding a school on Tuesday. The terrorists rained six to seven rounds of bullets at a CRPF bunker outside a school at Drabgam where an examination was being held, reports said.

No casualties were reported, the report added.

The attack on security forces came on a day when ministers of 23 European Union countries are present in Jammu and Kashmir to assess law and order and human rights situation.

This is the first such international visit in the valley after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A nearly two months ago.
