TADA court extends remand of TeJI chief till Dec 17

Srinagar, Dec 3 (UNI) A TADA court in Srinagar has extended judicial remand of Tehreek-e-Jehadi- Islami (TeJI) chief Abdul Samad Malla alias Inquilabi till December 17 for his involvement in anti-national activities.

Inquilabi was later shifted to Baramulla Sub Jail again.

He was arrested on December 25, 2018 for his involvement in anti national activities and challenging state’s accession with India.

Later, he was booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) and shifted to Kotbalwal, Jammu. However, he was again brought here and later admitted to mental hospital, Srinagar from central jail.

Demanding his release on humanitarian grounds, his family members said his mental condition is not stable and he was advised to go for some tests in Super SpecialityHospital.

Inquilabi has filed a petition in Bandipora court demanding Rs 10 crore compensation for his frequent arrest by the police and other security agencies during the past 30 years.
