Kolkata, Apr 1 (IBNS): The West Bengal state committee of the Student Federation of India (SFI) on Monday announced their agenda to mark the first death anniversary of SFI leader Sudipta Gupta, who died during a police action in Kolkata at their law violation protest last here here.

The SFI reportedly arranged for a rally on Tuesday in North Bengal starting from Siliguri.

SFI further arranged a rally on Apr 2, marking the death day of the leader, which will start from College Street and end at Esplanade.

A SFI leader said, "3 rallies will come from the Sealdah Railway Station, Howrah Railway Station and Shyambazar and meet together on College Street at 1:30 pm. Opposition leader Surya Kanta Mishra, DYFI leader Ritobrata Banerjee and other party leaders will speak there from the stage. After that, at 2:30 pm, the final rally will start from there to Esplanade."

The SFI is the student wing of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M).
