Puducherry: Rangasamy declared as NDA's chief ministerial candidate

Puducherry/UNI: The All India NR Congress has declared their party chief N Rangasamy, as the NDA's Chief Ministerial candidate, after passing a resolution to this effect at an emergency executive committee meeting, of the party held on Tuesday night.

It may be noted that the BJP was reluctant to announce the name of the Chief Ministerial candidate even yesterday when the alliance and number of seats for each party were finalised.

BJP in-charge of Puducherry, Nirmal Kumar Surana, answering a question at a press conference yesterday, mentioned that the legislature party will decide the Chief Ministerial candidate.

The meeting vowed to toil hard to make Rangasamy the Chief Minister for the fourth time and also thanked the BJP and AIADMK leaders, who strived hard for the formation of such an alliance.
