Police arrest self-styled general secretary of PDCK in Assam’s Karbi Anglong, arms recovered

Guwahati/IBNS: One self-styled general secretary of the People’s Democratic Council of Karbi Longri (PDCK) was arrested by police in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district on Thursday evening.

The arrested militant was identified as Nongme Tungjang alias Sanjib Phangcho.

Following a tip-off, a team Karbi Anglong district police had launched operation at Thekerajan area under Bakalia police station in Karbi Anglong district and arrested the self-styled general secretary of PDCK.

The police team had recovered one 7.65 mm pistol, four rounds of live ammunition, two mobile phones, PDCK demand letters and other incriminating items in possession from him.
