New Delhi: Indian PM Narendra Modi will visit West Bengal on Feb 7, just months ahead of the high-voltage Assembly polls in the state.

He will visit the state to launch several government projects in the coming week.

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan tweeted: "Reviewed preparations at the state-of-the-art LPG import terminal built by @BPCLimited at Haldia. The terminal will be dedicated to the nation along with other key oil, gas and road sector projects by Hon. PM Shri @narendramodi ji during his visit to Haldia on 7th February."

West Bengal is witnessing a strong battle between the ruling Trinamool Congress and the BJP to capture the Assembly seats.
