New Delhi/IBNS: With several states announcing the anti-Novel Coronavirus lockdown, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation at 10 am on Tuesday.

A tweet by PMO reads, "Prime Minister @narendramodi will address the nation at 10 AM on 14th April 2020."

Modi will address the nation on a day the unprecedented, massive 21-day nationwide lockdown is due to end.

The Prime Minister during his address to the nation on Mar 24 had called for the lockdown to stem the spread of COVID-19 which has affected 9,152 people (as per government data).

While 857 people were cured, 308 others have lost their lives in the pandemic disease.

Modi on Saturday held a marathon four-hour meeting with all state Chief Ministers, most of whom have urged the Centre to extend the lockdown.

Immediately after the meeting, Arvind Kejriwal and Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Ministers of Delhi and West Bengal, said the lockdown was extended by Modi.

Maharashtra on Monday joined the list of states who have extended the lockdown till the end of the month.
