PM Modi reviews Kashmir crisis

New Delhi, July 12 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday held a high level meeting with Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh where he sought information on the current situation in Kashmir where 30 people have died and about 1400 others are injured so far in massive protests following the killing of Hizbul commander Burhan Wani.

Meanwhile, curfew continued for the fourth straight day in the Kashmir Valley.

The agitation has now spread to North Kashmir  as well.

The Valley has been witnessing violence since the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen (Hizb) commander Burhan Muzaffar Wani.

Wani, a 22-year-old commander of Kashmir's largest militant group HM, was killed along with two associates during a brief gun battle with government forces on Friday.

Authorities handed the body of Wani, viewed by locals as a hero since he joined the rebel group at the age of 15, over to his family on early Saturday morning.
