'No rest till every infiltrator is thrown out': PM Modi's roaring message on National Unity Day

Gandhinagar/IBNS: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday repeated his tough stance against infiltration on the National Unity Day saying his government "won't rest until infiltrators are driven out".

Modi said, "They think that the country has broken once, and it will keep breaking in the future; it doesn't matter to them at all. Whereas, the truth is that if the country's security and identity are in danger, every individual will be in danger.

"Therefore, today on National Unity Day, we must resolve that we will not rest until we drive out every infiltrator living in India."

The Prime Minister said this at the Statue of Unity in Gujarat marking the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

Earlier in his Independence Day speech on August 15, Modi had announced a "high power demography mission" on this issue.

Modi had said the infiltration is denying youth their rights, targeting women, threatening national security and integrity.

The Prime Minister in unequivocal words had said the country won't tolerate infiltration and the crackdown will be considered as a fitting tribute to the freedom fighters.

"A conspiracy has been hatched to change the demography of the country, creating a new crisis. The infiltrators are denying the youth of their jobs and targeting the women. This won't be tolerated. These infiltrators are taking adivasis' lands through deception. The country won't tolerate this.

"The change in demography in the border areas threatens national security, unity, integrity and progress and sows the seed of social tension. Infiltrators can't be allowed to take over our country. We can't undo the sacrifices made by our forebears to give us an independent country," he had said.

The Prime Minister had added, "It is our duty towards those great men who have given us independent India that we should not accept such acts in our country, this will be their true tribute. So our government has decided to start a high-power demography mission which will tackle the crisis of infiltration."

Besides infiltration, Modi also promised the eradication of Naxalism in the country as his government has set March 31, 2026 as the deadline for the complete end to Maoist terrorism.

"Before 2014, Maoist terrorism posed a significant threat to nearly 125 districts across the country. Today, that number has been drastically reduced to just 11 districts, with only three still experiencing severe impact from Naxalism.

"I want to assure the nation that we remain steadfast in our commitment to eradicating Naxalism entirely. We will not rest until this menace is eliminated from the country," the PM said.
