New Delhi, Jan 12 (IBNS): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday said there was no need to doubt Pakistan at present over the Pathankot air base attack as the nation has assured to take effective action into the matter.

"Pakistan has assured us that it will take effective action into the matter.  At least for now, we don't have any reason to doubt them," Rajnath Singh said told media.

Pathankot in Puanjab witnessed a deadly attack when six Pakistani terrorists dressed in Army fatigues attacked an air force base on January 2.

The terrorists were eliminated after an 80-hour gun battle.

Seven security personnel were martyred and 20 were injured.
