Nepal PM KP Sharma Oli thanks India for sending one million doses of COVID vaccine

Kathmandu: Nepal PM KP Oli has thanked the Indian government for grant of one million doses of COVID vaccine to Nepal at the moment when the Narendra Modi-led government is rolling out vaccination for its own people.

"I thank Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji as well as the Government and people of India for the generous grant of one million doses of COVID vaccine to Nepal at this critical time when India is rolling out vaccination for it's own people," Oli tweeted.

India's external affairs minister S Jaishankar also shared an image of Nepal receiving the vaccine and tweeted: " Nepal receives Indian vaccines. Putting neighbours first, putting people first!"

The vaccine consignments have also reached other nations from India like Bangladesh, Bhutan and Maldives.
