Nearly 43 arrested for violence during Bihar bandh in Aurangabad

Aurangabad/UNI: Nearly 43 people have been arrested in connection with violence and stone pelting during Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) sponsored Bihar bandh on Saturday.

Subdivisional Police Officer Anup Kumar said here today that Aurangabad town had witnessed massive violent protest during which the bandh supporters induldged in arson and stone pelting.

He said 32 police personnel, including police superintendent and subdivisonal police officer, had sustained injuries in stone pelting.

He said, 43 people were arrested in this connection and 77 wooden sticks, four live bombs and 20 mobile phones were recovered from them.
