NCC Pre-Republic Day camp held in Assam's Jorhat

Guwahati/IBNS : The NCC Pre- Republic Day Camp was conducted  at the NCC Academy in Assam's Jorhat from November 13 to December 17 by NCC Group HQ Jorhat under the aegis of NCC Directorate, North Eastern Region.

The aim of the camp was to select and train the NCC cadets of all seven states to represent NCC North Eastern Region Directorate.

At the culmination of the camp, Maj Gen Ananta Bhuyan, SM briefed the media on Friday to highlight the major activities carried out during this five weeklong special camp.

Maj Gen Bhuyan also interacted with the selected cadets, congratulated them for their final selection  and exhorted them to perform well in the impending Republic Day Camp in Delhi.

He also mentioned that the training philosophy of the cadets had been refined to accommodate the changing aspirations of our youth and expectations of the society.

This is to spread the spirit of Republic Day Camp across length and breadth of the country and disseminate the core message of tenacity and persistent determination to attain greater heights in life.

It is a matter of great pride and a sense of achievement to have been finally selected for the prestigious camp.

The cadets attending the camp followed an intense schedule over one month while participating in a number of Institutional Training Competitions.

The cadets were selected through an exhaustive and tough selection process.

A total of 180 shortlisted cadets attended the camp and 26 cadets were finally selected to represent the North East Region in the Republic Day Camp.
