NCB questions Arjun Rampal's girlfriend in drugs probe
Mumbai/IBNS: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Wednesday questioned actor Arjun Rampal's girlfriend Gabriela Demetriades in connection with the alleged nexus between drugs and Hindi film industry, popularly known as Bollywood, media reports said.
Rampal has been asked by the probe agency to appear for questioning on Thursday.
The actor's house in Mumbai was searched by the NCB officials on Monday.
The NCB has already questioned several Bollywood celebrities including top Indian actor Deepika Padukone over the drug probe.
The drug probe began after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) came across several online chats over drugs while investigating the death of young Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
The drug chats on WhatsApp were found in the mobile phone of actor Rhea Chakraborty, who was also the girlfriend of late Rajput.
Chakraborty, her brother Showik and few others were arrested for allegedly arranging drugs for Rajput, who was also suffering from mental depression.
However, Chakraborty has now been granted bail.
In one of the latest developments, film producer Firoz Nadiadwala was summoned by the NCB on Monday, a day after his wife Shabana Saeed was arrested after investigators found 10 grams of marijuana at her home in Mumbai's Juhu.
