Mizoram: 7 injured after police bus meets with an accident

Guwahati/IBNS: At least seven police personnel were injured after a police bus met with an accident in Mizoram’s Kolasib district on Wednesday.

The incident took place at Vai-awt-Burachep area near Vairengte in Kolasib district.

A top police official of Kolasib district said that 22 personnel of 2nd Mizoram Armed Police (MAP) were travelling in the bus when the vehicle met with an accident.

Following the incident, Mizoram minister Dr K Beichhua, officials of police and district administration, medical team had rushed to the spot and rescued the injured police personnel and they were admitted at nearby hospital.

The police official said that the injured police personnel are now out of danger.
