Migrant labourer killed in road accident in West Bengal

Kolkata/UNI: A migrant labourer, who arrived at Kharagpore station with four others and was proceeding to his home in Goghat in West Bengal's Hooghly district, was killed in a car accident on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Abdul Karim.

The group of labourers was travelling on NH 60 in a car when their vehicle collided with a truck head-on in Keshpur, SP Dinesh Kumar said.

All of them were taken to Midnapore Medical College and Hospital where Abdul Karim expired.

The conditions of the other four labourers are stated to be serious.
