Man harasses woman on Mumbai local train by masturbating, arrested

Mumbai, Oct 23 (IBNS): A 30-year old man has been arrested for harassing a woman on a Mumbai local train by masturbating in front of her, media reports said.

The 23-year woman, who was traveling with her family, recorded the entire incident and later handed over to the police along with the lodge of a complain.

The police, with the help of the video and the CCTV footage from several railway stations, arrested the accused on Monday.

The accused has been identified as Kripa Bodheba Patel. He is a daily wager.

The police has booked Patel under sections 354 and 509 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) on the charge of outraging the modesty of a woman.

The woman was traveling from Nalaspora to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus when the incident happened.
