Maharashtra: Man jumps off from building to escape fire

Thane/UNI: A 53-year-old man jumped off from the first floor of a building in Kalyan and got a fracture after noticing smoke bellowing out in Aadhar Wadi, Fire Brigade sources said here.

According to Fire Brigade sources, the blaze broke out in the meter box of the building at around 0845 hrs, giving shock waves to the quinquagenarian, who jumped off to save his life.


They said the flames were later brought under control, while the man was hospitalised. The cause of the fire was yet unknown.
