Maharashtra: Forest official killed in road mishap in Nashik

Nashik/UNI: A 30-year-old forest official was reportedly killed when his motorcycle was dashed by an unidentified vehicle, police said here on Friday.

The victim has been identified as Mohan Shankar Raut, who was a resident Savarna village.

According to the Peth Police, the fatal accident occurred on Thursday night when the bike-borne youth was heading towards Peth Rural Hospital(PRH) to check on his ailing relative.

On the way, an unidentified vehicle hit his two-wheeler injuring him critically.

He was rushed to PRH where he succumbed to his injuries.

A case has been registered against the driver of the unknown vehicle, police stated, adding that further investigation is underway.
