Maharashtra: Fire breaks out at factory in Thane

Thane/UNI: A major fire broke out in a plastic goods manufacturing factory at New Sindh Compound of the township here, the fire brigade sources said on Saturday.

The fire broke out in the unit at around 2330 hrs on Friday. As the material in the factory was plastic, it emitted a foul smell.

However, no casualty was reported, the official said, adding that the factory was wrecked.

It took five hours to five fire engines to douse the flames.

The cause of the fire was not ascertained, sources added.
