Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis files nomination from South West Nagpur

Nagpur: Displaying the political muscle of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) through a massive roadshow, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday filed his nomination from South West Nagpur to fight the upcoming state polls.

Fadnavis was accompanied by Union Minister and senior BJP leader Nitin Gadkari to the nomination office.

The BJP and Shiv Sena are fighting the polls in an alliance.

On Thursday, Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray filed his nomination from Worli becoming the first from his family to contest an election.

The state polls are scheduled to be held on Oct 21.
