Kolkata Police arrest BJP youth leader with cocaine

Kolkata/IBNS: Acting on a tip off, the Kolkata Police on Friday afternoon arrested BJP youth leader Pamela Goswami and her friend, Prabir Kumar Dey, with around 100 gms of cocaine from city's posh New Alipore area, reports said.

According to reports, policemen stopped her car at New Alipore area and seized the contraband drug worth few lakh rupees from their possessions.

City police officials said that they had been taken to New Alipore Police Station for further interrogation and they will be produced before a local court on Saturday.

Pamela Goswami is the state secretary of Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) while her associate, Prabir Kumar Dey, is also attached with BJP, according to sources.
