Kolkata: Massive fire erupts at South 24 Parganas Zilla Parishad building, 10 tenders deployed

Kolkata/IBNS: A major fire broke out at the South 24 Parganas Zilla Parishad building in Kolkata's Alipore area on Wednesday, triggering a large-scale firefighting operation.

Fire Erupts Near Alipore Court

The building is located adjacent to the Alipore Court complex, raising concerns in the busy administrative and judicial hub of the city.

Firefighters Rush to Spot

At least 10 fire tenders were pressed into service to bring the blaze under control. Firefighting operations were underway at the time of reporting.

No Casualties Reported

No casualties have been reported so far. Authorities have also not received any information about people being trapped inside the building.

Further details are awaited as emergency teams continue efforts to contain the fire and assess the extent of the damage.
