Kolkata: Magician P.C. Sorcar Jr.'s premises raided by CBI in chit fund probe

Kolkata/IBNS: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday carried out raid at the Kolkata residence of iconic magician P. C. Sorcar Junior in connection with its ongoing probe into Tower Group ponzi firm scam, sources said. 

According to sources in the Central probe agency, a CBI team raided the premise of the magician located in eastern Kolkata's Mukundapur area.

"The magician reportedly signed a business deal with Tower Group years ago, and today's search operation was carried out to examine the deal as well as the transaction between him and the chit fund  company," a CBI official said.

Neither the CBI nor the Sorcar family officially said anything about the raid.

Besides, the magician's premise, CBI reportedly raided three more locations in connection with the same probe.
