Ghaziabad (UP): A juice vendor and a 15-year-old boy were detained on Friday in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad for allegedly mixing human urine in fruit juices they sold to customers, media reports said.

Police said the action was taken after people complained that the juice seller was serving fruit juices to customers after mixing human urine, reported news agency PTI.

ACP Ankur Vihar Bhaskar Verma on Friday said the accused was identified as Aamir.

The police reached the shop based on the complaints.

A plastic can filled with human urine was recovered from the juice stall, he said.

When police questioned him about the urine, he could not provide any satisfactory response.

A juvenile has been detained, Verma stated, adding that further actions are being taken in the matter.
