Jammu and Kashmir: Two terrorists killed in Srinagar encounter

Srinagar: An encounter with security forces in Srinagar city of Jammu and Kashmir left at least two terrorists killed on Friday, police said.

One of the terrorists was identified as Aamir Riyaz.

Police said he belonged to the terror outfit Mujahideen Gazwatul Hind.

"#Terrorist killed in #Srinagar #Encounter identified as Aamir Riyaz of Khrew #Pulwama affiliated with proscribed terror outfit Mujahideen Gazwatul Hind. He was relative of one of the accused of #LethporaTerrorAttack and was assigned to carry out fidayeen attack: IGP Kashmir," Kashmir Zone Police tweeted.

In another tweet, the Kasmri Zone Police said: "#KulgamEncounterUpdate: 01 more unidentified #terrorist killed (Total 02). #Incriminating materials including arms and ammunition recovered. Search going on. Further details shall follow.
@JmuKmrPolice."
