Jammu and Kashmir: Sonic boom causes panic in Pulwama

Srinagar/UNI: Panic gripped the Pulwama town and adjoining areas in south Kashmir on Monday morning following loud explosive sounds were heard, official sources said.

However, it was learnt that sounds were caused by Sonic boom from an aircraft.

Loud explosive sounds are caused by the shock wave from an aircraft or other object travelling faster than the speed of sound.
