Jammu and Kashmir: Doda's sex ratio shows remarkable improvement

Srinagar: This mountainous District Doda has shown a considerable improvement in sex ratio rate with 913 females against one thousand males.

The information was given at a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode to review the implementation of schemes of the National Health Programme, here today.

The Chief Medical Officer informed that the annual figures which would be released in the Month of March, 2021 may reflect a higher ratio.

The Deputy Commissioner took detailed review of various national health schemes under implementation in the district.

The achievements made under Janani SurakshaY ojana (JSY); Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakaram (JSSK); Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK); Integrated Disease Surveillance Project (IDSP), UIP, RNTCP, NLEP, Aids control programme, NPCDCS, PM National Dialysis Program, Ayushman Bharat, Meraaspataal, Kayakalp program were reviewed by the DC threadbare. The DC took a serious view of the shortfall in institutional deliveries.

He asked the department to activate ASHA workers further to ensure that all deliveries are conducted in their nearby health institutions.

The meeting decided to intensify screening for Non communicable diseases like diabetes and blood pressure by asking all Sub centres to screen all the persons who visit the health institution.

It was given out that the recovery rate of Covid-19 in the district is 97%, with only 33 active positive patients.

The CMO informed that due to the timely intervention under Integrated Disease Surveillance Project, the positive rate in Hepatitis A,B,C has also come down reasonably across the district.

The DC also reviewed the progress under Ayushman Bharat and PM-JAY SEHAT scheme. He directed the BMOs to ensure the registration of beneficiaries as per SECC data at OPD level.
