India, Bahrain engage in renewable energy

New Delhi/UNI: India and Bahrain wil forge deeper engagement in capacity building and focused cooperation between the government as well as private sector of the two countries in renewable energy, particularly in the field of solar, wind and clean hydrogen to meet climate change goals.

This was agreed at a meeting of the Joint Working Group in the field of renewable energy between the two India in virtual format on Thursday.

India and Bahrain had signed a memorandum of understanding in 2018 to promote bilateral cooperation in the sector.

The meeting discussed the initiatives taken, progress made and future targets set by the respective governments as well as opportunities available in this sector.

The two sides agreed on sharing experience, expertise and best practices, said a ministry of new and renewable energy.
