IED blast claims 11 personnel in Chhattisgarh

| @indiablooms | Apr 26, 2023, at 10:10 pm

Dantewada (Chhattisgarh): At least 11 security personnel, including the driver, returning in a patrol vehicle were killed in a Naxal attack in the Aranpur area on Wednesday afternoon.

In a dastardly assault that ended a long period of relative dormancy, Naxals deployed an improvised explosive device to target the convoy.

While 11 personnel died on the spot, an unspecified number of them were injured in this highly restive district of the Left-wing extremism-affected Bastar division.

Law-enforcement authorities confirmed that ambulances and a heavy force were rushed to the scene, which lies within a forest approximately 50 km from here.
