Hope Congress doesn't make another Kumaraswamy out of Uddhav Thackeray

New Delhi/UNI/IBNS: Ahead of the floor test in Maharashtra Assembly today,BJP on Saturday warned its estranged ally Shiv Sena and its chief Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to be cautious of the motives of Congress as the party could create another "Kumaraswamy" out of him and he may have to shed tears later.

Speaking to Univarta, senior spokesperson of BJP Syed Shahnawaz Hussain said the No. 4 party joined with the No.3 party made the head of the No.2 party the chief minister of Maharashtra and the No.1 party of Maharashtra is sitting in the opposition.

"The mandate was in favour of BJP but a government was formed by manipulating numbers," Shahnawaz insisted, adding that the newly-formed government is already looking unconfident and stressed.

He claimed that the Shiv Sena- NCP-Congress alliance has not been accepted by many leaders of all three parties.

Asked about Maharashtra government's decision to use the open ballot for floor test, the BJP leader said, "BJP is not a threat for Mr Thackeray. Actually, he doesn't have faith in his own MLAs. He is also not relying on NCP and Congress leaders, who are not happy with the alliance. That is why he broke the tradition and changed the pro-tem Speaker."

"Mr Thackeray will win the floor test but how will he regain the trust of the voters of Maharashtra?" he questioned.

Shahnawaz said Shiv Sena buried everything, including its founder Bala Saheb Thackeray's ideology against Congress, to grab power in the state.

Cautioning the BJP's estranged ally, Shahnawaz said, "Congress creates 'Kumarswamy'(the leader of Janta Dal Secular and the former Chief Minister of Karnataka). May it not happen that Mr. Thackeray also has to shed tears later."
