Haryana Floor Test: No confidence is Congress' old culture, says Manohar Lal Khattar

Chandigarh/UNI: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday slammed the Congress party for moving the motion against the ruling BJP-JJP government.

"Never having faith in anything is Congress' old culture," Khattar said during the no confidence motion discussion referring to the resignation of senior Congress leader PC Chacko in Kerala.

The 88-member Haryana Assembly is currently ruled by BJP-JJP government in alliance having 40 and 10 members respectively, five ahead of the magical figure of 45 to prove their majority in the house. The Congress has 30 MLAs.

The Chief Minister further accused the grand-old party of questioning the valour of armed forces during the Surgical Strike. "This party [Congress] did not have even confidence in COVID vaccines," he said.

Khattar said that he is grateful to the Congress party for giving him an opportunity to showcase the achievements of his government. "They [Congress] are not going to come to power," the CM averred.
