Haryana: Farmers allege BJP MP's car hit them during protest; 1 injured

New Delhi/IBNS: Farmers in Haryana have accused that a car they claim belongs to BJP MP Nayab Saini drove into a group of protesting farmers in Naraingarh near Ambala and injured one person, according to media reports.

The injured farmer has been admitted to a government hospital in Naraingarh where the farmers were agitating against the three farm laws that have sparked farmers' protests.

BJP's Kurukshetra MP and other party leaders were in Ambala to attend a programme to honour medical and frontline staff battling COVID-19.

This comes close on the heels of the UP's Lakhimpur Kheri incident, where a convoy of cars that included one owned by Union Minister Ajay Mishra (and allegedly driven by his son Ashish) rammed into a group of farmers holding a peaceful protest and eight people were killed.
