Amethi, Jan 4 (IBNS): Visiting Rahul Gandhi's Lok Sabha constituency Amethi, BJP leader Smriti Irani said the BJP leaders have forced the Congress vice president to visit the seat frequently.

"Rahul Gandhi used to hardly visit his seat in the past. We had promised people that we will make him visit Amethi often. And yes, today we are happy that he has been forced to visit his seat frequently," Irani told media.

She said the constituency has witnessed development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Amethi has been the constituency of the Nehru-Gandhi family since 1980.

Amethi has been a Congress stronghold since its formation in 1966.

Irani-Gandhi showdown in 2014:
