Gujarat: More than 30 injured in bee attack

Amreli/UNI: In total 35 people have been attacked by bee swarm in two separate incidents in less than 24 hours here in Saurashtra region.

A source said, "15 people, who were stung by bees during a funeral procession has been hospitalised."

20 others were attacked in a similar manner during another obsequy on Wednesday evening.

Earlier yesterday, 21 students of a private school in Una town of Gir Somnath district were also hospitalized due to bees attack.

Sarpanch of Liliya, Babubhai C Dhamat today said that the swarm of bees came from a neem tree inside the crematorium premises.

He said that after the last evening incident he had approached both the forest and agriculture department officials for removal of the bee hives but nothing has been done as yet.
