Former Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah tests Covid-19 negative

Bengaluru/IBNS: Former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday tested negative for Covid-19.

The veteran politician has been discharged from the hospital.

The Congress leader tweeted, "I have come back home after being treated for #Covid19 & tested negative. My heartfelt thanks to all the doctors, medical & support staff of Manipal hospital for their treatment, care and affection. Doctors have recommended few more days of rest at home." (sic)

In a follow up tweet, he said, "I sincerely thank all the leaders of @INCIndia, other parties and states, party workers, supporters, well-wishers and most importantly people of Karnataka for your prayers & wishes for my speedy recovery."

Siddaramaiah had tested positive for the deadly virus on Aug 4.
