Weeks after a late-night hit-and-run accident in Bengaluru left three people injured, the city’s traffic police have identified former Bigg Boss Kannada contestant Divya Suresh as the alleged driver of the car involved in the crash, media reports said.

The incident took place around 1:30 am on October 4 near Nithya Hotel in Byatarayanapura.

According to police, a speeding car rammed into a two-wheeler carrying Kiran G and his cousins Anusha and Anitha, before fleeing the scene.

An FIR was registered three days later, on October 7, based on Kiran’s complaint.

While Kiran and Anusha escaped with minor injuries, Anitha suffered a fractured leg and underwent surgery at BGS Hospital, police said.

Investigators initially listed the vehicle as unidentified but noted that it was driven by a woman.

Police later reviewed CCTV footage from nearby streets and confirmed that the car belonged to Divya Suresh, a well-known television personality and actor.

Anoop Shetty, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic – West), said the car has been seized, and further investigation is underway.

The police have yet to disclose whether the actor was under the influence of alcohol or if speed played a major role in the crash.
